Conference oil and gas exploration – London 2013

The Government announced last week that it wants to make it a priority to consider a strategy to support future oil and gas exploration in our offshore waters. Joe Mizzi the Hon Minister who under his responsibility falls the division for oil and gas exploration¸ declared he has already spoken to companies which have shown interest to invest in this sector. All seven areas on the island’s continental shelf will be open for licensing even though one must be aware that it is a risky business which needs massive investment not only to conduct Seismic 3D tests but to drill in the relative deep waters. In this context it is encouraging to read that PKF in collaboration with Master Investor 2013¸ the UK’s leading investment¸ host conference in central London to attract investors in the oil and gas exploration sector on the 27th April 2013. Not without reason¸ this event attracts over 2¸500 attendees annually who rate the conference as a unique opportunity to meet the top executives in various sectors including oil and gas exploration and ancillary industries. The conference which gives investors unique insights on country specific opportunities is now in its 11th year and it is encouraging that PKF will be inviting companies¸ representatives of the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure ¸ MRA and key representatives in the oil procurement division to participate and actively contribute to the development of the industry.
